1. Propose to Ceil
Part 2 of the trip to the winery: After the wine tasting we bought a bottle of wine, some cheese and crackers and grabbed a blanket. We walked around the vineyard for a bit and settled in between row 44 and 45. After taking some pictures I was able to take the ring out of my camera bag and as Ceil took off her vest I got on one knee and ask her to be my wife in Polish. After the initial shock she said yes and asked me to pinch her many times to make sure it was a dream. We spent some time talking and and enjoying another glass of wine. We called our parents to share with them the good news. Later we took a walk on the beach, I jumped in the ocean, Ceil watched. I had made reservations at a restaurant in Cape May, at The Washington Inn. We had a very nice dinner and the day was complete. It was an amazing day that will surely not be forgotten.

60. Wine Tasting/Winery with Ceil
Two birds with one stone: On September 20th 2008, while vacationing in Wildwood Crest, NJ with Ceil we went to the Cape May Winery (www.capemaywinery.com) for some wine tasting. What otherwise would have been a very nice afternoon trying new wines became even more special when I asked Ceil to marry me. More of that in an upcoming post but we had a very nice afternoon sitting on a blanket out in the vineyard drinking a very nice bottle of wine. I highly recommend visiting this winery and taking advantage of their many different wines. Some pictures below.

(Pre-Engagement)
97. Take a picture of grandma
On Saturday October 4th, Ceil and myself went to visit my grandmother to tell her of our engagement. It was a very nice afternoon in which my grandmother and myself traded smart-ass remarks. Nice to know she approves of Ceil and she gave Ceil her hope chest as a gift which Ceil was very happy to have it passed to her.
33. Buy first authentic art print

For now I am counting this as achieved but I suppose I never made it clear how established the artist had to be prior to buying the print. I will continue to look for more things in the future and I have my eye on a couple things. The photograph was done by one Bobby Prokenpek (www.bobbydoright.com) who just graduated from The Creative Circus. I was lucky enough to work with Bobby this quarter and I look forward to seeing what he does in the future.
68. Wear my Watch everyday for month
This may seem a little odd to have on the list but I hope this help explains why. As a gift many years ago I was given a watch by my girlfriend Ceil. I of course wore the watch here and there but after awhile I stopped wearing it. By awhile I mean about 3 years, I put it on the list to get back into the habit of wearing a watching. I am now proud to say I have been wearing the watch everyday for well over a month and now am in the habit of wearing it everyday.
24. Game at Current Shea Stadium

On Friday September 26th 2008 with only 3 games left to be played it and a weekend full of plans the forecast did not look good for this game to be played. A rain delay would prevent me from completing this task but with some positive thinking and good fortune the game was played. Luckily traffic wasn't too bad on the way to the stadium, Ceil and myself got there about half way through the top of the first inning and in time for the Marlins to take a 2 - 0 lead. With the plan being Adam and Sandra to meet us it is no surprise that they didn't get there till about the 4th inning. Being well prepared for it to rain (4 black garbage bags, 2 zip lock bags, 1 rain coat, 1 rain proof jacket and pants, 1 umbrella) and it barely rained a drop. We met a very nice couple from Sparta who provided us with many great laughs and even gave us an engagement gift of Cracker Jacks. Other then the Mets losing it was a great night and I am happy to say we got to see Shea before it comes down. Enjoy the pictures!

57. Buy a Pair of Black and Brown Shoes
While shopping this past weekend with Ceil at Atlantic Station I purchased my first pair of brown dress shoes in at least 8 years. The black shoes may have to wait till Christmas.
